Michael Larson

Michael has 15+ years experience implementing innovative, mathematically-driven solutions. Areas of focus include pricing, supply chain and inventory management, and demand forecasting.
Michael holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, and an A.B. in Mathematics with a Computer Science concentration from Dartmouth College. Previous work includes Head of Risk Management at Rotella Capital Management, Managing Director (technology) at Black River Asset Management, Senior Manager (pricing & supply chain optimization) at Amazon.com, and Strategy Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group.

Previous work includes Vice President, Operations, at Signpost, a marketing platform. Anu has held a number of senior management positions at Microsoft’s Online Services Company. Before Microsoft, Anu had a number of leadership roles in Retail, Finance and Product Management at Amazon.com.
Charlie Bird

Charlie has more than 30 years of stochastic optimization and forecasting experience. He built Amazon’s global demand forecasting system and price elasticity models. He designed the multi- modal traffic forecasting system used by Google to manage its server network. And he created many of the core forecasting algorithms at the heart of Microsoft’s MSN ad platform. At Northwest Airlines, he developed yield management, forecasting, and “seat-pricing” algorithms. Charlie began his career at General Motors, where his mathematical models were used in the capacity planning process. Charlie holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University.
